Service Coordinators residents in senior high rises with existing service networks for comprehensive follow-up. They
provide information and referral services. They encourage resident participation in community services and support
their involvement by arranging for transportation when needed. They arrange for group presentations, where
appropriate, to inform residents about programs that support their independence. They act as an advocate for
residents, when necessary, in support of their applications for specific benefits and/or services.
